CLASS 50s BY THE SEA: The Class 50s are now in their last year of operation, along the classic section of the coastal route from Exeter to Dawlish & Teignmouth. This feature takes a look at the class including D400 in action during June 1991.

THE END OF ‘SPEEDLINK’: The ending of the ‘Speedlink’ network marks the end of wagonload freight by B.R. In this feature we take a look at the history of ‘Speed link’ and show the service in operation in its final months  in the North East Of Scotland and at Whitemoor Yard near March.

EAST COAST INAUGURATION: With  the completion of the East Coast Electrification scheme the class 91 are now in operation from Kings Cross to Edinburgh. This feature shows the new electric service in operation and takes a look back at the HSTs at some classic locations along the coast near Berwick-on-Tweed.

MANCHESTER SUBURBAN: A study of the unique third rail 1200 volt electrics on the Manchester to Bury line in their last weeks of operation.

NEWS & EVENTS: Coalville Open Day. Chaos on the West of England Main Line. October/November 1991

LOCOMOTIVE HAULAGE IN THE NORTH: Class 37s and 47s have once again returned  to the Kyle of Lochalsh and Aberdeen to Inverness lines. Both classes are shown in action during August against a backdrop of Scottish lochs, mountains and moors.

ARCHIVE FEATURE - THE MOTIVE POWER SCENE IN 1973: A look back at the motive power of 1973 with class 25s, 45s, 46s, 47s and Hymeks on the lines around Crewe and Worcester.

THROUGH THE HEART OF WALES: A study of the 90 miles  through the ‘Heart of Wales’ via Llandovery, Builth Road and Llandrindod Wells. The lines, signalling, first generation DMUs, gradients and stations are all featured against a backdrop the Cumbrian mountains.

THE CLASS 50S - 1968 TO 1991: A feature marking the last months of operation of this unique class. The 50s are shown during their last Summer and Autumn on the Waterloo to Exeter line. In addition they are featured along the sea wall at Dawlish. All the final locos are shown including D400.

NEWS & EVENTS: Motive Power News - Class 20s in the North West, Class 26s, Class 31s on holiday traffic, Class 30s on  the Waterloo Main Line, Double-headed Scottish 37s in the North East of Scotland, Class 47s, Trainload Coal Day in North Wales with Class 60s. 20s, 50s, Worksop Open Day, Gloucester Rail Day with Class 20s on the Lickey Incline and Sapperton Bank, Old Oak Common Open Day with Class 59 & 60 specials, Laira Open Day, Cambridge Open Day, Folkestone Harbour Closure.
