Saalfeld Area Profile: Our visit to the Saalfeld area (in 1996) coincides with the recent Plandampf (timetabled regular steam workings) featuring Steam class 01, 18, 44 & 50. Electric classes featured are 103s, 112s, 150 & 155 & Diesel classes 219 & 232.
