2010 has been an important year for the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway. Over 9 days from the 29th of May to the 6th of June it hosted a special gala commemorating the 175th Anniversary of the Great Western Railway. This programme explores the railway during a memorable summer and provides a portrait of the Honeybourne line both from the lineside and the footplate.
It includes ‘City of Truro’ in its new black livery, the inauguration of services over Stanway Viaduct, 7802 ‘Bradley Manor’, 2-6-2 Prairie 4160, Collett 2-8-0 3803, 9F 92203 ‘Black Prince’, Stanier 8F 8256 plus much more. Also included, the Auto Train with scenes from the footplate, plus freight haulage with views from the guards van.
