Jim Bowller was one of the select band of cine photographers who recorded the days of working steam during the 1960s. We return to the era of steam and explore the network using his remarkable collection of film.
The programme includes steam on the West Coast Main Line, Western steam around Oxford and Banbury, North Eastern steam at Tyne Dock with Q6s, 9fs and K1s, the Hope Valley line, 70013 ‘Oliver Cromwell’ in the Peak District and in the North West, and the last days of steam in the North West.
