Main Line Gala   The Great Central’s Winter Steam Gala in January featuring resident and visiting power including 34053 ‘Sir Keith Park.  Freight and passenger duties are shown with a wide variety of traction.

‘Flying Scotsman’ Returns 
A major feature looking at the return of LNER Standard Bearer 60103 ‘Flying Scotsman’ to the main line and comprising:

A look at the loco in the world of preservation starting in 1963 and covering its main line activities and work on preserved lines over a 50 year period. Scenes are included from the 1970s on specials in the North West and North East and in the period to 2005 when the loco worked its last main line specials before overhaul.
The loco is also featured at the NRM ‘Railfest’, on the Scarborough line and in York.
Bringing the story up to date the A3 is shown on the East Lancashire Railway in Wartime black livery in January 2016 at a large number of locations in snowy conditions!
On the main line ‘Flying Scotsman’ is featured on the move to Carnforth, plus on a test run from Carnforth on the  Hellifield and Blackburn circuit on the 4th of February at a wide number of locations. 
The inaugural main line run on a Winter Cumbrian Mountain Express with the loco climbing the grade to Shap as well as on the Settle and Carlisle.
